Anastasia K. Stoyanova (or simply, Sia) is a storyteller, poet and applied philosopher. A trained economist and self-professed artist, her work is concerned with the dynamics of power, migration and human emotion. Much of this focus springs from considerations encountered on a steady life journey through Europe – born in Bulgaria, raised in Greece and trained in Scotland and Germany, she adopts the Balkan and European macro-identities in a nod to her commitment to unity.
An existentialist at heart, she is currently investigating topics of self-inquiry and transformation. Her approach and process mirror her deeply rooted sentimentalism, as well as her dedication to practices integrating mind, body and the senses into a singular, ever elusive entity in flux.
